Rodent Control in Greenwood, Indiana

Greenwood sits about 11 miles south of downtown Indianapolis in Johnson County, between I-65 and I-69. The Smock brothers built the first cabin here in 1823, on land that's now Greenwood Park Mall, and the town incorporated in 1864. It's the biggest suburb on the south side, and the ground is mostly flat to gently rolling.

Older ranch homes near the center and newer subdivisions on the edges both get mice. Busy commercial strips draw Norway rats around dumpsters.

Ranches and Split-Levels

Older ranch homes have had decades to settle. The sill plate, the old dryer vent and the gaps around pipes are the usual mouse doors. If you're trapping mice every winter, have the house sealed instead of buying more traps.

New Building on the Edges

Construction on the south and east sides keeps turning fields into neighborhoods. The mice from those fields move into the closest garages each fall, and lawns next to open ground get vole runways. A good garage seal and a clean garage floor go a long way.
